Hi, just wondered if anyone is doing glass painting and what glass paints you use to achieve the most brilliant results? I am a professional glass painter & restaurateur using mostly keracolor (Germany)

Thanks Annabelle. I'm new and have only been doing stained glass for about six months, so I really wasn't sure what the community would find "acceptable". This opens up all kinds of possibilities. Thanks so much for your response.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and fairly new to stained glass (about six months). My current project is a 3D Star Wars X-Wing Fighter.
I have been looking everywhere for 1-1/4" white glass tubing to simulate the engines and have had no luck. I've checked all kinds of websites. Everything from stained glass sites to glass bong sites. Including eBay. The closest I've found was 38mm glass tube in "Jade White" from Mountain Glass Arts. I am told the color is similar to that of a florescent light bulb. The cost on one tube (with shipping) is $47 and I'm not even sure it will work. Does anyone have any idea where I can find 1-1/4" OD white opaque glass tubes?
I'm also curious to know your opinions on using other materials on stained glass projects. Are other materials like brass, copper, PVC, etc. "acceptable" in the stained glass community? Or is that frowned upon?
