I tried Glass Eye (Im a software developer and tend to want to go high tech) to do a background trace. I doesn't do a great job with images which have lots of detail. I think I'm going to end up going low tech, and traceing a lot of imagery to get what I want. Again all. Thanks so much for the kind words.
Thanks Rebecca. I didn't understand that about G'Eye. I started doing what you're talking about on an image of the 4th hole at Augusta National. What I'm going to try next is the same kind of idea on Photoshop. There are some filters that will help define the borders between colors, and then can be used to trace with. I already have a licensed copy of Photoshop. If it works for me, there's much more money to go to glass.
Oh, yeah! More money for glass is good ...Rebecca
You did a great job. It seems you had an excellent teacher and you are also a natural.
Can't wait to see your next panel!!
Hi SKMoss, great first project! With Glass Eye if you load the photo and then enlarge it you'll be able to draw the detail better. Be sure to use the thin line to draw with. How's everything in Escondido? I spent time there in the 60's.Steve
