petra2038:Neither am I a toxicologist or physician and I sympathise with your situation and that of your pet. However, this thread starts with a statement that you have read that Portland Cement can contain lead. I just did a few brief searches and, so far, have not found that stated. So, did you read that information on your package? We'd all be better off if you could document that source.Next see this definition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portland_cementNext try a Google search for "portland cement MSDS" and read some of them. I read only htree, but found no mention of lead. Your problems may be due to exposure to portland cement or to lead, but maybe not lead in portland cement.I am very interested to read what your doctor has to say. - Tod
Of course, the other unanswered question is about substitutions for cement (which is not the same as mortar - don't ask me how I know!). - T
