Just finished! I made mine 9 inches across and I have just tinned the outside edges lightly, since I have plans to use this as  a centre medallion in something bigger. 

WOW... 24 hours 34 minutes and 13 seconds!

Congratulations on winning the dash.

I am feeling a bit charitable right now so I'm going to also give a mystery grab bag to second and third place in the dash. So if you are just about done get a photo of it and upload asap!

Right you are.  It is foiled.  Up till now that's the only method I've tried.   I bought some lead came this past winter and fully intended to give it a try, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.  I like your version of the Fleur de Lis - it looks very neat done in lead.

I love the yellow and the way it just pops. (Of course I love most things yellow). This is a wonderful interpretation of the design with a very different feel.

Good one Graham. I forgot about the Boy scouts. Yellow & black are the Saints colors.

I already had someone wanting to buy it when I was working on it. Pic not to good it was rainy here yesterday when I took the photo. I couldn't remember the deadline so I was in a hurry to get it finished, polished, & before dark take a pic. I was rushing up to the house & company came over so I had to go show them around the garden in the rain.  Finally they went home & I put it on my computer. Whew!!!
