Window corners - your own design164 viewsNice simple process for creating your own patterns for window corners.

Easy way to jazz up windows,

Cutting the almost square inside cut175 viewsDeep inside curves are risky. Real "square" inside cuts are only possible with a saw. This is how to "fake" it. The corner looks as square as all get out, but do-able without a saw, and since it's really a rounded corner, it's not as prone to breakage.

Chapel Window53 viewsThis is a window in a private chapel in a home here in Antigua. The fish is not really red, it's dark purple.

Hangers_on_top_of_frame.jpg
Hangers on top frame43 viewsIt is preferable to attach hangers to the vertical members of the frame. If one must hang by the top (horizontal) rail, loops or hooks should be installed opposite to an internal seam which is securely soldered to that top rail. This will have the weight supported by the internal structure.

Extreme care must be taken to ensure that the solder joint between the hook/loop and the frame is very secure.

This practice should only be done with relatively light panels.

The_Amazing_disappearing_light_box.jpg
Light box - hidden98 viewsIn my new shop I had less space. I needed a light box for my own work, but I needed all the work surface possible for classes. So I built this 3" X 2" light box, with a lid that, when closed, was part of the regular work surface. I use my light-box for trace-cutting, so there's always a paper pattern between the glass and the top of the light box. That eliminates the need for a light diffuser - as the paper does the diffusing.Oct 09, 2009
